On May 17th, the SELL Student 2024 Men’s Games started. After the first day of the tournament, 6 matches were played in the men's Group B.

The Group B competition began with a match between Vilnius University (VU) and Vilnius Higher Education Institution (VIKO), where Vilnius University secured a convincing victory of 2:0 (25:17; 25:16).

In the second Group B match, Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) and Riga Technical University (RTU) started their tournament. Here, the guests from Latvia celebrated a victory of 0:2 (15:25; 22:25).

In the third Group B match, Tampere University (TUNI) from Finland faced Vilnius University (VU) from Lithuania. The lithuanians celebrated a victory after 2 sets, winning 0:2 (12:25; 20:25).

In the fourth match of the day, Vilnius Higher Education Institution (VIKO) played their second game against Riga Technical University (RTU). The volleyball players from Riga Technical University (RTU) achieved a large margin victory, 0:2 (13:25; 6:25).

In the fifth match of this group, Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) faced Vilnius University (VU). After a fierce battle, Vilnius University (VU) secured the victory, winning 0:2 (23:25; 24:26).

In the final Group B match of the day, Vilnius Higher Education Institution (VIKO) faced Tampere University (TUNI). The guests from Finland, Tampere University (TUNI), concluded the first day's matches with a victory, winning 0:2 (23:25; 21:25).

After the first day of competition, Vilnius University (VU) leads Group B, having won all three of their matches. Currently, Riga Technical University (RTU) is in second place, having won two of their matches. Tampere University (TUNI) students are in the middle of the standings with one win and one loss, placing them in 3rd place after the first day. Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) is in 4th place in the group, having lost both of their matches, while Vilnius Higher Education Institution (VIKO) is in 5th place, having suffered three losses today.

Vilnius University (VU) has only one match left in Group B, against the also undefeated Riga Technical University (RTU) team. Meanwhile, Riga Technical University (RTU), in addition to their match against Vilnius University (VU), will also face Tampere University (TUNI) tomorrow. Finnish students, who have yet to compete against Riga Technical University (RTU), still have a match remaining against Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech). Vilnius Higher Education Institution (VIKO), having played three matches today, has one match left against the aforementioned Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech).
